Broadmeadows Health Service (BHS) opened in October 1998, offering people throughout Melbourne's northwest a wide range of services, all under the one roof. BHS is based on a unique model of care that refocusses health service provision from the interests of providers towards the underlying principle of "clients and patients first".

The type of services provided, the design of the building, and the staff working within the service, all take into account the specific health, demographic and diverse cultural needs of the surrounding community, to create a seamless journey for patients across primary, specialist and follow-up care.

BHS offers a wide range of inpatient services including acute medical care with direct admissions from the Emergency Department in Epping and surgical care with same day and overnight surgery. Patients who need rehabilitation to get them back to their best can access both fast stream (rehab) and slow stream (GEM) care at BHS. Our specialist Palliative Care team provide care for patients who are unable to stay home for their end of life care providing care and comfort for patients and families along with community palliative care.
