In 1930, Lisieux Private Hospital was built by Dr GJ Kennedy. The hospital was then purchased by the Cobram community and opened as a public hospital in 1949.

Today, Cobram District Health is incorporated as a public hospital under the Health Services Act 1988. The organisation consists of 12 acute beds, 30 high care residential aged care beds, a GP managed Urgent Care Centre, Operating Theatre performing minor elective procedures, Palliative Care Unit, needle exchange program, diagnostic services such as x-ray, ultrasound and pathology, and a limited post natal care service all located on the same site.

Adjacent is the Community Health Centre providing a wide range of allied health services, including community nursing, domiciliary midwifery, antenatal care, physiotherapy, midwife shared care, diabetes education, speech pathology, cardiac rehabilitation, occupational therapy, health promotion, mental health nurse, extended care at home and dietitian services.

Cobram District Health also provides dental and medical services to the community through the Cobram Dental / Medical Clinic.

A newly built Community Rehabilitation Centre provides eligible clients with short term therapy and support to achieve their goals for independance.

In partnership with Moira Healthcare Alliance, our Catering Department supplies meals for Meals on Wheels.

Cobram District Health services the people of Cobram and surrounding areas of Yarroweyah, Strathmerton, Katamatite along with several New South Wales towns, including Barooga, Tocumwal and Finley which have a combined catchment of approximately 12,000 people.
