Glenside Health Services is a purpose built state-of-the-art 129 bed facility that brings together a number of key mental health and drug and alcohol services onto the one site. Glenside Health Services consists of Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA), Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN), Country Health SA Local Health Network (CHSALHN) and Central Adelaide Local Health Network’s (CALHN) Mental Health Directorate. The facilities comprise of four inpatient areas: Acute Care Services, Rehabilitation Services, Perinatal and Infant Services and DASSA Withdrawal Services. Glenside Health Services also features an Administration and Learning Services building and situated central on the site is a Shared Activities Centre.
Glenside was officially opened in 2013 by The Hon. Jay Weatherill and attended by Minister for Health, The Hon. Jack Snelling and Chief Executive SA Health David Swan.
Glenside Health Services shares the old Glenside Campus site with the Eastern Intermediate Care Centre (EICC), Burnside Housing and Accommodation Support Partnership (HASP) accommodation residences for people with mental illness, the SA Film Corporation and the Central Adelaide School of Art.
