Back in 1998 when Mater Children’s Private Hospital first opened its doors, it was Australia’s first private hospital for sick children. Since that time, Mater has provided care for thousands of children and their families through a team of exceptional staff and outstanding visiting doctors.

Today, Mater Children’s Private Brisbane continues to provide Queensland families with access to leading paediatric doctors, nurses and care providers from admission to discharge at our new look stand-alone facility for families who choose to self-finance or have private health insurance. Detailed information is provided to assist parents and patients through the process of coming to hospital, during your stay, going home from hospital and care after discharge.

Located in the former Mater Children’s Hospital building, the area has been refurbished and the building name changed to Salmon Building, in memory of Mother Alban Salmon.
