Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) was established in 1962. OPH is part of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group, part of the North Metropolitan Health Service and we participate in area-wide partnerships to augment and enhance health care delivery.
OPH is a community general hospital providing comprehensive specialist health care services for the north metropolitan suburbs. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties consisting of Rehabilitation and Aged Care, Surgical and Women’s and Newborn. Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health Team. Supporting these specialties are hospital wide services including Infection Prevention and Control, Diabetes Inpatient and Community Services, Pharmacy, Pathology and Radiology.
There are three operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, five wards, including a same day care area, and allied health services. No accident and emergency services are available and patients are generally accepted into our care via an appointment system, by referral from a clinician.
We are committed to continuous quality improvement and we seek and utilise feedback from patients, carers, families and other consumers to identify areas for improvement. We monitor and evaluate our services continuously and in addition we are audited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) to ensure that we meet the required healthcare standards. OPH has the longest accreditation of any metropolitan secondary hospital in Western Australia.
