St Vincent’s Brisbane is a 164 bed private Catholic not-for-profit hospital specialising in medical care for people with chronic, complex and multiple health needs.
We care for 3000 patients annually and provide specialist community palliative care to a further 200 patients in their homes. We employ up to 450 medical, nursing, allied health and support services staff and receive support from a generous volunteer team.
Our services include: general medicine, pain management, rehabilitation medicine, palliative medicine, geriatric medicine, neurosciences and transitional care. Our telehealth services support regional patients and a comprehensive range of diagnostic services (radiology, pathology and pharmacy, EEG and sleep studies) are available onsite.
We are the only hospital in Australia to offer an adolescent pain management program LEAP into Life PDF [795 KB] created to meet the needs of the 14 – 21 age group.
Our care extends beyond that of our hospital walls into the community. Reaching out into our community we provide medical and nursing care at Brisbane Common Ground, enhancing the provision of health services to Brisbane’s homeless and those at risk of homelessness.
