Vision Eye Institute has eight dedicated day surgeries, at locations in all parts of the eastern seaboard of Australia.  These are all state-of-the-art, fully accredited, specialised ophthalmic day surgeries, offering patients the very best care for cataract, vitreo-retinal, glaucoma, corneal and other procedures. We have a clear policy of ensuring open communication between doctors and patients, to deliver the very best possible outcome. So, if you have any questions, please ask – we’re here to keep you fully informed at all times. Naturally, we are equipped to perform general anaesthesia, although for the vast majority of eye surgery a local anaesthetic is sufficient. Having an anaesthetist available means that we can ensure every patient is completely relaxed before surgery. This allows most patients to walk in and out of surgery and return home soon afterwards. Our day surgeries are usually co-located with our clinics, so we are, in effect, a one-stop shop for almost all your eye care needs.
